Church Picnic 2017 – Canceled!

Hi Everyone. Because of the expected rain all day on Sunday we will NOT be going to Montgomery Bell State Park.  INSTEAD you are asked to bring your food to the building and stay after the morning assembly for a potluck and play games at the building.

Bible Bowl 2017

Every year our church participates in Bible Bowl. This is a Bible knowledge competition for children and youth. Questions are multiple choice from a predetermined set of books from the Bible. This year was on Mark, Philippians, and Colossians. There were over 300 teams of four students from over 70 congregations representing six states. The event is hosted at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN.

This year we had an exceptional group of children and teenagers, six teams in all, and they all did so well. Everyone competed in the main rounds (four rounds with 25 questions each) and we had three teams make it to the sweet 16 team competition. Congratulations to everyone who participated. We pray that the knowledge of God goes beyond the mind into the heart and guides our future leaders in life.

A Wonder-ful VBS

What a blast. This year’s VBS is over. It was filled with lots of learning, joy and laughter. We learned about the Bible and how it is the God’s guide for our lives, the Book of books, with incredible Impact, our Bedrock, our Love letter, and how we need to Explore it. Thank you to everyone who made VBS as success this year: the people on stage and behind the scenes; the helpers who prepared food, crafts, stages, and games; and all who came and participated, young and old. A special thank you to Mr. Buddy Wonder who made a special appearance on Day 5.

Operation Arctic under way

DSC_2977_00002Vacation Bible School has started. This year the kids and adults learn all about the BIBLE and how important it is. There is time to learn, play, craft, eat, and watch. Missed the start? Don’t worry, you can still come to see the rest of the activities. VBS goes through Thursday evening. Come, check it out, and bring a friend. We are having a lot of fun!

Operation Arctic 2017

Join us for our Vacation Bible School, where kids will have fun while learning from the Bible. In this day and age, it’s vital that we teach our children that the Bible is more than just a dusty book of stories. We need to show them God’s Word connects to every area of our lives and is as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago.

Vacation Bible School starts Sunday July 9 and goes through Thursday July 13, 2017 at 6 p.m.–8:45 p.m.

Belong at Joelton

It is a shared desire among us that every person at Joelton will become a follower of Jesus and will seek out his purpose for their lives.  The church at Joelton is a family – a spiritual family of believers who are passionate about their love for Jesus.  Families are not perfect.  But even with all of our shortcomings, we realize that each person here is a precious and loved child of the King.

We belong to God and to each other, and we invite you to share in that same experience with us.

Now you are the body of Christ,

and each one of you is a part of it.
