Reminders

  •  Please check the doors as you leave to be sure they are securely closed.

  •  Please keep ALL doors to the auditorium and lobbies closed when no one is using the auditorium

  • Please remember to lock the doors to the baptistery following a baptism

  • When Borrowing Something from the church building, please call the church office to see that the item is available. When you pick up the item be sure to sign the sign-out sheet in the office.  When you return the item, please sign it back in.

  • ATTENTION!!! EVERYONE who uses the building for extra activities is responsible for picking up your trash and putting furniture back where it belongs.

 

 

General Announcements

 

MISSION NEWS   Anyone interested in attending the Eastern European Mission Dinner on May 15th should sign the sign up sheet in the rear lobby or contact Duane Warren (746-8663).

MISSION TRIP   Kimberlyn Frensley is planning a mission trip to Jamaica in July.  The cost is $685.00.  Anyone wanting to give towards this should give your money to Steve or Darlene Newlin by Sunday, May 11th.

Monday Evenings-Men's Basketball from 6:30-8:00

 

THE ANNUAL MEN’S BASEBALL TRIP is scheduled for Thursday, May 8th.  Anyone wanting to go should see David Murray for details.

Ladies

 


 

 

Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Class will not meet again until Fall.

 

RECIPES NEEDED The ladies want to compile a recipe book.  The book will contain all categories, but there will be special sections in the book for Christmas Brunch Dishes and Diabetic Dishes.  You can submit as many recipes as you want to.  Please give your recipes to either Linda Creek or Faye Riddle or email your recipe to the church office    by July 4th.

MOTHER’S DAY OUT

Please call Naco Johnson at 268-0059 for any of the following...

  • people to come in once a month and read a story to our children

  • people who would like to be placed on the sub list when our teachers need to be out of work

  • openings in the 3 and 4 year old classes

TEEN FUNDRAISERS

 GIFT CARDS FOR SALE  The teens are taking orders (year round) for gift cards.  You receive full dollar value of what you pay.  The teens will receive 1.5-19.25% from the sale (depending on which cards are bought).  There are gift cards for restaurants, department stores, movie rental and theatres, electronic stores, office supply stores, on-line shopping companies, pharmacies, bookstores, hardware stores, hotels and gas companies.  The order forms are on the table in the rear lobby.

Mother’s Day Special on GIFT CARDS SALE

 The gift card that the teens have for sale year round have a Mother’s Day Special from Bath & Body Works, Shutterfly and Overstock.com.  See Dawn Rogers for the details.  The teens receive 1.5-19.25% from all sales (depending on which cards are bought).

KINDERGARTEN - 6th GRADE CLASSES

 

SHORT MOUNTAIN BIBLE CAMP(Woodbury, TN) for those who have completed 3rd grade up to 18 years June 29 to July 4th The cost is $150.00 for the 1st child.  Some activities are Bible classes, skits, singing, arts & crafts, swimming, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, hiking, ping pong, basketball, volleyball and tetherball.  See Tonya Hagan (792-5147) or Andrea Honeycutt (746-9401) for registration or for further information.

The kindergarten thru 6th grade classes bring money each week to be sent to the Christian Home and Bible School in Mount Dora, FL for one house to buy milk for one week.  The class totals for April are:  2/3 yr old - $8.15; 4 yr/kind - $23.30; 1st/2nd gr - $9.99; 3rd gr - $6.80; 4th gr - $5.45; 5th/6th gr - $6.20
